Your hyper curated desert travel guide
Where to stay & eat plus things to do in the Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, & Palm Springs
We’re recently back from an epic Southwest road trip for the girl’s Spring Break where we visited the Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree, and Palm Springs. It was a much needed break from the hustle and grind of our NYC routines.
Travel has always been very important to me. I love seeing new places, eating new food, the feeling of being far from home and disconnected from my day-to-day routines. The adventure of it all. When I had my daughters, although we continued to travel with them, our trips got a bit less exotic and far flung. With young kids I just found it easier to do more resort-based trips where we could unpack and stay in one spot for a bit. After all, the girls only ever needed a pool or a beach so they could splash about and soak in the carefree sunny day.
These days our travels tend to be longer and involve many destinations and adventures. My girls have become true travel experts and really relish exploring new surroundings and cultures.
Now that the girls are older, I find myself with constant, major wanderlust. We are always dreaming about our next trips like London for Thanksgiving holiday or Summer’s in Paris and Greece.

I now firmly believe the Grand Canyon is something everyone should see at least once. The magnitude of it has to be seen to be believed. I was truly bowled over.
